Rain saw him watch her put the kitten away at first she was going yell at him thinking he was looking at her body but once he grabbed the other cat she calmed down. She looked at him in time to see his smile at her name she looked at him confused for a moment she was not sure why he was reacting so well to her, most men would be long gone. It was funny to her, she swore she’d never have kids and now look at her acting like a mother fighting with her Ex for the child. She shook it off and kept going Rain stopped once the man spoke about his Jeep, she took a deep breath remembering the last jeep she had been in. The jeep had belonged to a good friend of hers and she tried not to think about him anymore although he seemed to haunt her regardless. Rain had to put away her feeling about the jeep she nodded and followed him she felt the kid on her heels and it worried her that he was so scared, she took once glance back at him to be sure he was okay. Rain give him a reassuring smiled and he calmed a little. Rain picked up the pace as she spotted a hand full of zombies heading their way. She tapped the man’s shoulder and pointed at them she motioned to let them be and for them to stop dragging ass and run.
Leon looked over his shoulder and noticed the zombies Rain had pointed out. Knowing it was just a question of time before the dead walking flesh would reach them, Leon took out his car keys from his pocket of his jacket and gave them to her. “Just ahead, don’t look back and keep going. I will take care of these.”
He took aim at the first zombie running towards him and got a clear shot in the head. Now more zombies were paying attention to him, hopefully that would buy Rain some time. Leon took a few steps back to keep distance, but continued to take down the living dead one by one.
